2026 China Dental Implant Cost Report: Prices by System from $799

Last updated 2026. The prices on this page are the published rates at Taikang Bybo network clinics and cover the implant, the abutment, the crown, CBCT imaging and the clinical and surgical fees; bone grafting, extractions and treatment of existing gum disease are assessed on your CBCT and quoted separately. Network-scale and insurance figures are as reported by Taikang; implant survival figures are from published clinical literature. Full sources at the foot of this page.

In China, a single dental implant starts at US$799 at Taikang Bybo network clinics — the DENTIUM implant with an Aidite crown, the lowest of the six single-implant options we publish, not an average. Whether that saves you money depends on your own quote: send it to us and we will put it line by line against the same implant system. This report sets out our published prices by implant system, what they cover, and the safety and scale context behind them.

Single dental implant cost in China by system (2026)

Implant system Origin / typical use Price from (USD)
Dentium Korea — the network's entry-level platform; priced here with a domestic Aidite crown $799
Straumann ITI Switzerland — the platform most often chosen at this network for complex cases. Whether it suits your case is decided by the treating doctor after a CBCT $1,699 (from $1,999 with German crown)
Straumann Roxolid Titanium-zirconium alloy — available in narrower diameters. Whether you need bone grafting is decided on your CBCT, not by the implant you pick $1,999 (from $2,299 with German crown)
Straumann BLX Immediate-loading platform $3,599

Prices on this page are in US dollars. Any Australian-dollar figure you see elsewhere is an indicative conversion that moves with the exchange rate — you are charged in the currency shown at checkout.

Prices include the implant, abutment, crown and clinical fees. Straumann pricing depends on the platform (ITI / Roxolid / BLX) and crown material (domestic vs imported German crown). Bone grafting or sinus lift, if required, is assessed on CBCT and quoted separately.

Full-arch options: All-on-4 and All-on-6

We do not publish a full-arch price, because there is no fixed full-arch package to buy on this site. Full-arch cases are quoted individually after a CBCT assessment — ask for a written, itemised quote before you book anything. See the All-on-4 China guide for candidacy and the treatment sequence.

How to compare a quote from home

Where Single implant (incl. abutment + crown)
China (Taikang Bybo network) From US$799 (DENTIUM + Aidite crown); Straumann US$1,699–3,599 depending on platform and crown, at the prices published on this site
Australia (private) No publicly available national range: the Australian Dental Association's fee survey is published to its members, not to the public. Ask your own clinic for an itemised written quote. See our Australia dental implant cost guide
Your own country We do not publish price ranges for countries we cannot source. Use the written quote from your own dentist, or your national dental association's published fee survey, and send it to us — we will put it line by line against the same implant system

Why is the price lower here? China's centralised volume-based procurement cut the listed prices of implant systems from 2023, and clinic overheads are lower than in Western private practice. The implant systems themselves are the same Straumann and DENTIUM platforms used elsewhere: every implant comes with the manufacturer's batch and serial documentation, which you keep. We are not a Straumann or DENTIUM distributor and we do not operate the manufacturers' verification services.

Timeline: about four months and two trips

An implant here normally runs over about four months and two trips to China — placement and healing on the first visit, the final crown on the second. Our store listings for these packages are titled “4-Month Program”. The prices above cover the treatment on both visits; flights and accommodation for each trip are not included, so count two return flights when you compare against a quote at home. We plan each trip as its own short stay, and we confirm your dates with the clinic before you book.

What's included — and what isn't

  • Included: the implant, abutment and crown; CBCT imaging; surgical and clinical fees; digital planning.
  • Quoted separately if needed: bone grafting or sinus lift (assessed on CBCT), extractions, and any pre-existing gum treatment.
  • Not included: flights, accommodation and travel. See the dental tourism in China guide for trip planning.

The safety and scale behind the price

A lower price is only meaningful if the care is safe. Three things provide that context:

  • Scale. The Taikang Bybo network reports having performed more than 86,000 implant cases across more than two million patient visits a year, with 146 dentists licensed to practise in China (figures reported by Taikang Bybo; we have not audited them). Large, standardised networks are structurally better placed to apply consistent surgical and follow-up protocols — the factors that most affect implant outcomes.
  • What the evidence says about implant success. Published studies of dental implants generally report high long-term survival, but the range depends on the population, how long patients were followed and how failure is counted — the study quoted in Taikang's white paper reports early failure of 0.76–7.47% and late failure of 2.1–11.3%. How long an implant lasts also depends on the surgical protocol, your bone and gum health, smoking, and how the implant is maintained afterwards. Ask the treating doctor what the evidence means for your own case. (None of this is a claim about this network's own 86,000 cases, which are a reported case count, not an independent outcomes study.)
  • Insurance backing. Implants booked through the network come with Taikang's dental protection policy, underwritten by Taikang Online. It pays cash compensation only, in the circumstances set out in the policy, and it does not pay for travel. If an implant fails after you are home, your local dentist assesses it first; any re-treatment in China means another trip, which you pay for. We can arrange translation of your local dentist's records, or a remote consultation with the treating doctor, on request and quoted before we start. Ask us for the full policy terms, exclusions and claim window before you book.

Consistency through digital workflows

The network uses digital planning (CBCT, 3D planning, surgical guides) and an AI-assisted records system which Taikang reports raised the pass rate of its internal clinical-record audit from under 40% to over 95% (self-reported in the Taikang white paper; not independently audited). That figure measures how completely each case is documented against protocol, not diagnostic accuracy. For international patients, standardised digital records mean a portable clinical record that can be shared with a home-country dentist.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a single dental implant cost in China?

From US$799 for a Korean DENTIUM implant with an Aidite crown — that covers the implant, the abutment, the crown, CBCT imaging and the clinical and surgical fees. Swiss Straumann systems run from US$1,699 (ITI) to US$3,599 (BLX) depending on platform and crown material. Bone grafting, extractions and treatment of existing gum disease are quoted separately.

Why are dental implants so much cheaper in China than in the US or UK?

China's centralised volume-based procurement cut the listed prices of implant systems from 2023, and clinic overheads are lower than in Western private practice. The implant systems are the same Straumann or DENTIUM platforms used elsewhere, and every implant comes with the manufacturer's batch and serial documentation, which you keep.

What does the price include — and what does it not?

The price covers the implant, the abutment, the crown, CBCT imaging, digital planning and the surgical and clinical fees at the treating clinic. It does not cover bone grafting or a sinus lift (assessed on your CBCT and quoted separately), extractions, treatment of existing gum disease, flights and accommodation, or anything the treating doctor adds after examining you. You get a written, itemised quote before you pay.

Are the implants genuine?

We ask the treating clinic for the batch and serial documentation of every implant it places and pass it to you, so you can see exactly which system was used. We are not a Straumann or DENTIUM distributor and we do not operate the manufacturers' verification services.

Is there any protection if an implant fails?

Implants booked through the Taikang Bybo network come with Taikang's dental protection policy, underwritten by Taikang Online. It pays cash compensation only, in the circumstances set out in the policy, and it does not pay for travel. If an implant fails after you are home, your local dentist assesses it first; any re-treatment in China means another trip, which you pay for. Ask us for the full policy terms, exclusions and claim window before you book.
