Medical Appointment Booking Service (Per Appointment)

Service Includes:

- Appointment booking for one medical service (e.g., specialist consultation, examination, imaging, endoscopy, surgery consultation, etc.)

- Coordination with the hospital or clinic

- Confirmation of appointment details

- Basic pre-visit instructions (if applicable)

- Standard or Priority booking processing, depending on the option purchased

- Ongoing communication regarding appointment status and scheduling updates

Service Fee:

The booking service fee applies per appointment and covers our coordination and scheduling services. Please refer to the price displayed above.

Hospital Registration / Specialist Appointment Deposit (if applicable):

Some hospitals require an advance registration fee or specialist appointment deposit before an appointment can be confirmed.

- The deposit is collected on behalf of the hospital and is separate from our booking service fee.

- The final amount charged by the hospital depends on the specialist successfully booked and the hospital's current fee schedule.

- If the actual hospital registration fee is lower than the deposit collected, the unused balance will be refunded to you.

- If the actual hospital registration fee exceeds the deposit collected, the difference must be paid before the appointment is confirmed.

- If we are unable to secure the requested appointment, the full deposit will be refunded.

- Refunds after an appointment has been confirmed are subject to the hospital's cancellation and refund policies.

Please note: The hospital registration fee covers only appointment registration and/or specialist consultation fees. Any additional examinations, tests, treatments, medications, or procedures recommended by the hospital are not included and will be charged separately by the hospital.

Proxy Consultation with a Public-Hospital Specialist (per visit) — US$200

For patients who want a named specialist at a public hospital in China to review their case before deciding whether to travel. We shortlist by department and by the specialist's clinical focus. China's internet-diagnosis rules do not allow a first consultation to be carried out online (National Health Commission, 国卫医发〔2018〕25号, Art. 16), so public-hospital specialists see new patients in person. This service lets an experienced SinoCareLink coordinator attend that consultation in person on your behalf.

What is included (per visit)

- Shortlisting suitable specialists and departments for your case, and booking the appointment

- Translation of the medical records, test results and question list you send us, into Chinese, for the specialist

- An experienced coordinator attends the consultation in person, presents your records and asks your questions

- With the doctor's agreement, the consultation is audio-recorded for the sole purpose of preparing your summary and is deleted once the summary is delivered; if the doctor does not agree to recording, our coordinator takes written notes instead. By booking you consent to this.

- A written English summary of the specialist's comments, and English translation of any written notes or recommendations the hospital provides, sent to you after the visit

Not included

- The hospital's own registration / specialist consultation fee. This is charged by the hospital according to its fee schedule and varies with the specialist's seniority. It is not part of the US$200 service fee: we collect it in advance on the hospital's behalf, in the same way as the hospital deposit described above (any unused amount is refunded; any shortfall is payable before the visit).

- Any tests, imaging or treatment the specialist recommends

- Translation of records beyond what one consultation needs. If your file exceeds this, we tell you before we start and quote the extra separately.

Please note

- Our coordinator is not a doctor and does not give medical advice. The summary reports what the specialist said; it is not a diagnosis, a treatment plan or a guarantee of any outcome.

- Because the specialist has not examined you in person, hospitals commonly require the patient to attend before confirming a diagnosis or starting treatment. This service helps you decide whether and where to travel; it does not replace an in-person visit.

- Specialist availability depends on the hospital. If the requested specialist cannot be booked, we propose an alternative before the visit; if no suitable appointment can be arranged, the service fee is refunded.

- If you cancel after we have booked the appointment, the website Refund Policy applies to the US$200 service fee, and the hospital's own rules apply to any registration fee already paid. Consumers in the UK/EU may also cancel within 14 days of payment; if the visit has already taken place at your request, the fee for that visit remains payable.

- Your records are handled under our Privacy Policy: with your explicit consent we translate them and share them only with the hospital and specialist for this consultation, and you can ask us to delete them once your summary has been delivered.

- Please send complete records (reports, imaging, current medications, symptoms) and your questions in advance; incomplete records may limit what the specialist can comment on.
