Our checkups are at tertiary hospitals — the top level of China's national hospital grading system — which must meet national hygiene and quality standards. What does the comprehensive checkup actually include?
The Essential tier covers liver/kidney function, blood lipids, blood sugar, and full abdominal ultrasound. The Premium tier adds low-dose spiral CT (lung cancer screening), advanced cardiac enzymes, and expanded tumor markers. Essential takes about 3 hours and Premium about 4–5 hours.
Who reviews my results?
Your results are reviewed by licensed physicians at the examining facility, who write the summary section of your report.
Will I receive an English-language medical report?
Yes. You receive an English report plus the original Chinese report, delivered digitally within 2–3 weeks of your appointment.
How long does the actual appointment take on the day?
About 3 hours for Essential and 4–5 hours for Premium. Check in at 8 AM and you finish by late morning or early afternoon — leaving you free for sightseeing the same day. No GP referral needed; we handle all hospital coordination in advance.
Is this checkup suitable for travelers over 60 or with family history?
Yes — we recommend the Premium tier for anyone over 35, smokers, or those with a family history of chronic illness. It includes low-dose CT for early lung nodules and an expanded tumor marker panel that the Essential tier does not.
What happens if the checkup finds something abnormal?
Your report flags any abnormal findings, with the examining physicians' interpretation and follow-up recommendations. We can also help coordinate further consultations or specialist visits at the same facility if you wish.
Can I get this checkup using China's 240-hour visa-free transit?
Yes. The full checkup fits comfortably within the 240-hour (10-day) visa-free transit window, since the on-site part takes 3–5 hours on a single day. Many nationalities also qualify for China's 30-day unilateral visa-free entry, with no onward-ticket requirement. We provide an official booking confirmation you can use for transit documentation if needed.
Do I need to fast before the checkup, and what about GP referral?
Yes, fast 8 hours before your appointment (water OK). No GP referral is required — our packages include all coordination with the hospital. We email full pre-visit instructions immediately after booking.
