Speeds up your hospital booking. You can also provide this later.

About this listing: SinoCareLink is a bilingual medical consulting and concierge service. We coordinate appointments, accompany you, and translate care at licensed Tier 3A grade hospitals in mainland China. All clinical procedures are performed by the hospital and its CFDA-certified physicians — SinoCareLink does not provide medical services directly.

Optional refundable deposit for biopsy or polyp removal during your sedated GI endoscopy.

This is a companion product to our Sedated GI Endoscopy service.

What this covers

If the endoscopist finds a polyp or tissue requiring biopsy during your gastroscopy or colonoscopy, Chinese public hospitals require payment before the additional procedure is performed. Pre-paying a USD 300 deposit means the work can proceed without delay while you are still under sedation — no need to wake, no rescheduling, no second procedure.

Refundable / topped-up — at hospital cost, no markup

  • If no biopsy or polyp removal is needed: full $300 refund within 5 business days of your procedure
  • If biopsy / removal cost is less than $300: difference refunded
  • If biopsy / removal cost is more than $300: difference invoiced to you at hospital cost (no SinoCareLink markup)

Typical hospital costs (for reference)

  • Single polyp removal (small, <1 cm): ~USD 150
  • Multiple polyps + pathology: ~USD 250–500
  • Complex polyp (large, EMR / ESD): may exceed deposit — billed at hospital cost

Actual hospital invoices vary by hospital, the size and number of lesions found, and whether pathology is requested. We pass the hospital receipt to you so the full reconciliation is transparent.

How to use this product

  1. Add this $300 deposit add-on to your cart alongside the $400 Sedated GI Endoscopy
  2. Pay $700 total at checkout
  3. On the day of your procedure, your bilingual companion gives the hospital the consent and payment authorization needed for any biopsy / polyp removal
  4. Within 5 business days of your procedure, we reconcile against the hospital invoice and refund any unused balance to your original payment method (or invoice an overage at hospital cost)

Why pre-pay? Chinese public hospitals operate on a pre-payment model — the endoscopist will pause the procedure to wait for payment authorization if a biopsy is found necessary. Pre-funding the deposit avoids any in-procedure delay and lets you stay under sedation without interruption.

Note: This deposit is only usable in conjunction with a SinoCareLink-booked GI endoscopy. It is not a standalone medical service.
