Speeds up your hospital booking. You can also provide this later.

A multi-region MRI screening package on a Philips 1.5T scanner in Shenzhen — the value option next to our 3.0T hospital package, and the China alternative to Ezra (from $999 for four regions) and Prenuvo ($2,499). Seven regions are scanned in about two hours at a licensed outpatient imaging clinic; we handle booking, the bilingual companion on the day, and the English-translated radiology report.

What each package covers

Package Regions Price
Essential 4 — brain MRI, intracranial MRA (cerebral vessels), upper abdomen MRI, pelvis MRI $399
Advanced (most popular) 7 — everything in Essential plus cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine MRI $649
Premium 9 — everything in Advanced plus any two of: knee (left or right), wrist, elbow, or sinus $899

All regions are non-contrast, standard-sequence scans. The 1.5T packages do not include diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI); if you want DWI on brain, abdomen or pelvis, choose the 3.0T hospital package, where it is standard. Cardiac MRI is not part of the 1.5T packages — see 1.5T or 3.0T? below.

Add another region

Any single extra region on the 1.5T scanner can be added to a package for $100. Tell us which region when you book; it is scheduled in the same session.

The scanner

Scans are performed on a Philips Multiva 1.5T MR system: a 60 cm bore, 53 cm maximum field of view and a 16-channel digital RF receive architecture (manufacturer specifications). It is a current-generation 1.5T platform built for multi-station, multi-region examinations — which is exactly what a screening package is. The clinic is a licensed outpatient imaging centre in Shenzhen with a dedicated MR suite, not a hospital ward; expect a quieter, faster visit than a Grade 3A radiology department.

1.5T or 3.0T — which one do you actually need?

Neither is "better"; they do different jobs. A 3.0T magnet produces more signal, which radiologists use for higher-resolution imaging of small structures — tiny brain or pituitary lesions, fine ligaments, small vessels — and it is the field strength most Grade 3A hospitals use for targeted diagnostic work. The price of that signal is longer scans per region and more sensitivity to metal and motion. A 1.5T magnet is the mature, widely used field strength for routine and screening MRI: multi-region protocols run faster, artifacts around metal are milder, and the image quality is sufficient to find the common findings a screening MRI is looking for — disc disease, ischaemic change, organ masses.

Our path: screen broadly on 1.5T, then, if a region raises a question, review that one region on a 3.0T hospital scanner (single-region 3.0T MRI add-on) or with a PET-CT where a physician recommends it. You do not pay 3.0T time for nine regions to answer a question that usually sits in one. If you know in advance that you need the highest resolution everywhere, or you want cardiac great-vessel MRI, choose the 3.0T hospital package instead.

Included

  • Appointment booking at the clinic, with all regions scheduled in one session
  • Bilingual medical companion for the whole visit — check-in, the scan suite, and the radiologist hand-off
  • Radiologist-read report, professionally translated into English in standard clinical terminology
  • DICOM image files on USB or secure link, so your own doctor can review the raw images
  • One coordinated price — no separate cashier steps on the day

Before you book — four honest notes

This is region-by-region scanning, not one head-to-ankle sweep. The team repositions the coil between regions. Seven regions take about two hours on the table; nine regions somewhat longer. Plan a half day.

Metal and implants. Tell us about any implant, pacemaker, clip, stent, cochlear device or retained metal before we book. MR-conditional devices are scanned only under the conditions on their label; some implants rule out MRI at any field strength. The clinic's safety screening decides on the day.

Report timing. The complete English-translated report typically arrives in 2–3 weeks (about 1 week at the fastest). We do not promise same-day reports.

Screening is not diagnosis. A screening MRI can raise questions it cannot answer on its own. If a finding needs a specialist, a 3.0T re-scan or a biopsy, we arrange it separately and quote it before you commit — none of that is included here.

Not included

Flights, hotel, contrast agent (not used in these packages), cardiac MRI, and any follow-up imaging, specialist consultation or treatment arising from the findings.
